DAILY ACTIVITY AND HEALTH EDUCATION IN "SUDAGARAN" SOCIAL SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY CENTER IN BANYUMAS

Abstract

Background: Elderly Reproductive Health is a course held at the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, Jenderal Soedirman University to achieve competency to understanding related to fulfilling the welfare of the elderly. Purpose: The practice of visiting social homes for the elderly is needed to provide students with an understanding of service activities in social institutions. Method: The target audience for this activity was 19 students specializing in reproductive health specializing in reproductive health and epidemiology. The subjects observed were the elderly who were in social institutions. The results of the activities that have been carried out include introducing the profile of the institution, educating students to the elderly on the topic of elderly welfare, student interviews with selected elderly representatives, and students observing the facilities and infrastructure at the institution. Conclusion: From the results of this activity, students learned to identify directly in the field material regarding the welfare of the elderly in social institutions
